Tree work should solve one problem without leaving you a new one. We plan around access, what sits under the tree, and how you need to use the space afterwards. Then we rake it, blow it, and haul it out.
“I needed to have a huge oak tree taken down (4’+ diameter trunk, 75’ tall) as it was hallowed out from insect infestation. The team did a great job taking it down, chopping it up and hauling everything away. The yard was left clean. The work was done on time at a reasonable price.”

“We had a tree down on our shed and tangled into a pretzel in our largest tree, and another small one arched over and entangled in some other trees—all a result of a wind storm. Shawn came, gave us an estimate that was half of another one we’d gotten, and fitted us in the next morning before the predicted afternoon storms. He was careful and respective of our property and my flower beds, got the trees down quickly, trimmed the damaged bows on the trees that were left, and the team cleaned up thoroughly. All was complete before the rain started. Fingers crossed we don’t need any more tree work, but if we do I would call him in a minute!”
“★★★★★ Outstanding Service – Highly Recommend GXB Precision Tree Care! After the recent severe storm, I received three quotes, and GXB Precision Tree Care offered the best value with a very fair price. Shawn and his crew were absolutely superb! Two very tall pear trees split and fell in my backyard. One tree landed on my outdoor furniture and was leaning toward my vinyl fence while being supported by another tree, creating a very dangerous situation. Shawn’s crew arrived on time, carefully assessed the job, and safely removed the damaged trees without causing any additional damage to my fence or property. Their teamwork was impressive—they worked hard, efficiently, and conscientiously from start to finish. They hauled away and chipped all of the large branches, cleaned the entire work area thoroughly, and left my backyard looking even better than it did before the storm. While they were here, they also beautifully trimmed my small elm tree by my koi pond just as I had requested. Their attention to detail and workmanship were excellent. It was an extremely hot and humid day, so I was happy to offer the crew cold bottled water and half of a watermelon, which they truly appreciated. I even offered them the use of my pool to cool off, and one of the younger crew members gratefully took a quick dip after all of their hard work. Shawn also shared some valuable resources with me that I had been searching for, which was an unexpected bonus. I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I give Shawn and his crew 10 out of 10 and would absolutely use GXB Precision Tree Care again for any future tree service needs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest, skilled, hardworking professionals. On such a hot and humid day, I was happy to offer the crew cold bottled water, watermelon, and even the opportunity to cool off in the pool after their hard work. I attached some Before, During and After pics of the job-site/my backyard for your viewing.”
“After a violent storm I was left with a very large pine tree hung up in other trees over my neighborns yard. A very precarious situation. Shawn gave me a proper estimate in short time and when they did the job, it went a bit easier than expected and he lowered the price which was unexpected. Shawn and his employes worked safe and efficient and finished the job in a short time. I appreciate the work they did and the time he spent explaing his methods and pricing. I've already hired him to do more work on my property. I met Shawn when he did work on my son's property last year. I highly recommend this company!”
“Mom had a huge tree limb wipe out her wheelchair ramp. We had cleared some of the limbs and had the ramp repaired, but there was a huge tree trunk limb still in the tree and going across the lawn. It was at least 2' in diameter and big enough to crush a car. Shawn came out just after the storm and gave me an estimate to take the limb away. His crew came Sunday afternoon July 19th and within 2 hours took care of the damaged limb. They cleaned everything up and it looks beautiful as if nothing ever happened. We appreciated their prompt response to texts and they gave us a time that they would come that was spot on. Thank you so much for everything you did! Mom is very happy!!”
“Shawn runs a great tree business! Gary, Nate, and Ryan did a wonderful job, cleaned everything up, and were professional and friendly. Definitely calling them next time I need help with tree removal or trimming.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes, Shawn gives every estimate himself, and it costs you nothing. He walks the property with you, looks at the tree and explains your options in plain terms. Then you get a clear price before any work begins, with no obligation to book. You can also request one online through our assessment form.
How do I check a tree company's insurance?
Before any tree work starts, ask the company for a certificate of insurance. The insurer issues it, and it lists the policy, the coverage limits and the dates. That matters because an uninsured crew can leave an injury or a damaged roof as your claim. So do not let anyone start on a verbal promise, and ask every company you call.
What areas do you serve?
We serve 23 towns across Dutchess County, NY, working out of Poughkeepsie. They include Wappingers Falls, Fishkill, Beacon, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, Red Hook and Pleasant Valley. If your town is not on that list, call and ask before you rule us out.
How soon can you come out after a storm?
If a power line is down or anyone is in danger, call 911 or your utility first. After that, timing depends on the damage, the weather and how many calls come in at once. Even so, reviewers say Shawn came out quickly after past storms. For example, Jude J. wrote that the crew "fitted us in the next morning before the predicted afternoon storms."
How much do your tree services cost?
Price depends on the tree's size, its condition, and how easily equipment can reach it. A tree in an open yard costs less than the same tree leaning over a roof. That is why Shawn looks at every job in person before he gives you a number. Our tree service cost page explains what moves the price up or down.
Do you clean up and haul away debris?
Yes, cleanup is part of every job, and reviewers mention it often. The crew chips the branches, hauls the wood away and clears the work area before leaving. As Cory M. put it, "the clean up was flawless thank you guys".
Can you tell me whether a tree should be removed or saved?
Often, yes, because many trees stay healthy for years with the right pruning or cabling. However, others have too much damage or decay to leave standing near a house. Shawn looks at the tree in person and tells you honestly which group it falls in. If it needs nothing yet, he will say so.
How can I pay for tree work?
Customers pay by credit card or cash, and both come up in our Google reviews. So ask Shawn about payment when he gives the estimate, and there are no surprises on the day. One customer, Curt K., wrote, "Paid with my credit card which made it very convenient."
Who is responsible when a neighbor's tree falls on my property?
Generally, your own homeowner's insurance covers storm damage on your side of the property line. However, that can change if the owner ignored a tree they knew was dead or dangerous. Photograph everything before anyone moves it, then call your insurer with the details. Our guide, Who Is Responsible for a Fallen Tree, explains how this works in New York.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree?
It depends on your town, because each Dutchess County town writes its own tree rules. For example, the Town of Fishkill requires a permit for any tree 18 inches in diameter or more. In contrast, several rural towns have no dedicated tree chapter at all. Our Service Areas page compares the rules town by town and cites each code.
