About GXB Precision Tree Care
A local tree crew in Poughkeepsie. The owner gives the estimate, and the crew cleans up before they leave.
Who we are
GXB Precision Tree Care is a tree service based in Poughkeepsie, NY. Shawn owns the business and gives every estimate himself. His crew handles tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, land clearing and storm cleanup across 23 towns in Dutchess County.
Customers name the crew in their reviews: Gary, Nate and Ryan. That is the point of a small company. The person who looks at your tree is the person who answers for the job afterwards.
You can see the equipment in our job photos. A bucket truck reaches into the canopy over a roof, and a boom truck handles the heavy cutting. Then everything that comes down gets cut up and hauled away.
Customers have called us for storm-split pear trees on outdoor furniture, a tree down on a shed, limbs on the power lines at the house and a hollow oak more than four feet across.
How we work
- A free estimate first. Shawn walks the property, looks at the tree and gives you a clear price before any work is booked.
- An honest answer. Sometimes the tree only needs trimming. Sometimes it needs nothing at all this year. We say so.
- Updates on the day. You know when the crew is on the way and how the job is going.
- A clean yard. We rake, blow and haul the debris, so the yard looks like we were never there.
- Easy payment. Customers pay by card or cash.
What customers say
“We had a tree down on our shed and tangled into a pretzel in our largest tree, and another small one arched over and entangled in some other trees—all a result of a wind storm. Shawn came, gave us an estimate that was half of another one we’d gotten, and fitted us in the next morning before the predicted afternoon storms. He was careful and respective of our property and my flower beds, got the trees down quickly, trimmed the damaged bows on the trees that were left, and the team cleaned up thoroughly. All was complete before the rain started. Fingers crossed we don’t need any more tree work, but if we do I would call him in a minute!”
“After a violent storm I was left with a very large pine tree hung up in other trees over my neighborns yard. A very precarious situation. Shawn gave me a proper estimate in short time and when they did the job, it went a bit easier than expected and he lowered the price which was unexpected. Shawn and his employes worked safe and efficient and finished the job in a short time. I appreciate the work they did and the time he spent explaing his methods and pricing. I've already hired him to do more work on my property. I met Shawn when he did work on my son's property last year. I highly recommend this company!”
“Shawn runs a great tree business! Gary, Nate, and Ryan did a wonderful job, cleaned everything up, and were professional and friendly. Definitely calling them next time I need help with tree removal or trimming.”
